ISSN: 2194-5217 Abstract: Over the past 30 years, Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) in Korea has advanced rapidly due to collaborative efforts between the science community and the operational modeling center, along with improved scientific understanding and the growth of information technology infrastructure, which enables provision of reliable and seamless forecast services 10 days ahead and beyond. This article gives a brief overview of the evolution, latest developments, and future directions of operational NWP in Korea.
